A Feast of Midland Folk, 30 May 2012

30 May 2012 - Folk at The Red Lion

With Loose Canons, Revenge of the Wrinklies, The Father Teds unplugged, The Hurling Boys.

To finish the spring season an evening brought together by Pete Bispham of Drowsy Maggie which promises to be stupendous! Resident band Loose Canons with Julie Lloyd (ex Singing Tradition), Andy Jones, Clive Powers and Pete (from Drowsy Maggie); Revenge of the Wrinklies with Keith Kerans banjo player extraordinaire playing a sort of bluegrass; The Father Teds unplugged (another Birmingham Irish band); The Hurling Boys led by Pat Brennan playing exciting Irish music. This evening will be entertaining and exciting, featuring top-class music from England, Ireland and America, with maybe a little bit of Welsh thrown in. Don't miss it!
