Greg Bird & Flamingo Flame return to the Bull’s Head for another live Freestyle session, with the night’s line-up this time hand-picked by Greg himself. In addition to GB & FF’s gothic house sound, we will be treated to layered harmonies, swirling surf guitars and sweeping melodies from the hotly-tipped My Grey Horse, an experimental yet melodic fusion of acoustic, trip hop and indie courtesy of Straina, plus driving, cinematic electronica from the ever-impressive Diùra.

Best known as a founder member of Birmingham reggae legends UB40, saxophonist Brian Travers has always been a vocal supporter of the city’s own music scene, this month he launches his new addition to the musical landscape in the shape of Sunday afternoon social in the heart of bohemian Moseley.

Brian has an incredible collection of jazz, grooves and of course Rocksteady, Ska, dub and beyond.

Cutting up doubles of Breaks and Beats. Join DJ's 'Key Figures', Damian 'Samebeat' Wilkes, DJ Midday (Brooklyn NYC) for a night of Funk, Soul, Disco, Boogie and Hip Hop as they play the tunes to bring the groove back to Brum. Its the Party Groove.

Com Truise is one of the many personas of producer and designer Seth Haley, born and raised in upstate New York and operating out of a 12’-overrun apartment in Princeton, New Jersey. An admitted synth obsessive, Com Truise is the maker of an experimental and bottom heavy style he calls “mid-fi synthwave, slow-motion funk”.
