58 pupils studying Musical Theatre at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) will be performing in two full scale productions of West End sensations; ‘Spend Spend Spend’ and ‘Just So’.

‘Spend Spend Spend’, which will run from 2nd to 4th May, is a rags-to-riches-to-rags again story which focuses on the glitz and glamour, and potential pitfalls, of fame and fortune. Contrastingly, ‘Just So’, running from 23rd to 25th May, is based on the works of Rudyard Kipling and explores a world of fantasy and adventure.

Students studying Production at the academy will also be taking on an active role, managing lighting design, sound, costume and make-up and staging.

Both productions are open to the public and tickets are available through The Old Rep Theatre box office; priced at £10 for adults and £8 for concessions.

Picking over football systems, political wrangling and changing room banter, Total Football tackles the big questions of life - immortality, happiness and why England always lose. From the controversial attempt to create a united UK football team for the 2012 games to one man’s attempts to reproduce when he can’t even explain the offside rule, Ridiculusmus has patched up its metatarsals to examine the melting pot of what it means to be British today.

The Drum's heavyweight residents Luv Injection are lining up some of the most pioneering and legendary sounds from across the UK and internationally for the summer season.

This month features Luv Injection meets Burn Down (from Japan) and Jah Man Nuclear (from Wolverhampton). All sounds will enter the arena with their guest vocalists and selectors and play on their own systems, expect a mix of reggae styles and an ear-popping bass sound.
