The Sorcerer

One of Gilbert & Sullivan’s lesser-known comic operas, this show is full of fun and lots of tuneful, jolly music. Alexis is marrying the love of his life, Aline, and is so happy he wants all the village to experience such happiness themselves. He commissions The Sorcerer to secretly administer his best selling love potion to everyone in the village. Anyone drinking the potion falls asleep and then falls in love with the first person they see on awaking. Needless to say, the plan goes somewhat awry, resulting in some rather unexpected and mis-matched pairings! Hilarious!
