Wednesday Afternoon Wheelwork

This course takes place over six weeks. Each class runs for 2 1/2 hours. During the course you will learn how to throw pots on the potter’s wheel. You will learn how to “wedge”/prepare the clay for throwing. On the wheel you will learn centering, and then methods to make vessels. You will also learn “turning”, the process of tidying up the base of your pots. You will also learn about surface decoration using coloured slips and various glazing techniques.
