Fortune favours the brave in this collection of animated shorts from around the world. The little girl from Cycle learns to overcome her fears. A White Crow discovers a wonderful land far from home. Mr Gnome climbs mountains to chase the clouds away (Cloudy) and many more wonderful little tales await you in this short film programme.

Join us for an afternoon of crafty fun and start immersing yourself into the animal world of Fantastic Mr Fox. Create a foxy friend to take home or become one of the furry creatures yourself by making some must-have fox-essories!
1.30pm - 3pm: Fantastic Mr. Fox screening
An all-time-favourite animation loved by young and old. What’s better than a Roald Dahl story? A Roald Dahl story animated by Wes Anderson, of course! After 12 years of bucolic bliss, Mr. Fox makes the unfortunate mistake of raiding his human neighbours’ farms. If you know these farmers - Bogis, Bunce and Bean - then you’ll know that the situation quickly spirals out of control a war between the animals underground and humans above. Will Mr. Fox’s natural craftiness allow them to overcome the opposition?
3.15pm - 4.15pm: Outside the Box - Short film programme for ages 7+
In the second family shorts programme of the day, the exploration continues as we go on holidays to Cat Lake City, follow the sun's journey in The Theory of Sunset, and realise that there is a joyous and colourful world waiting for us if we dare to step outside the box (Whiteland). But sometimes things don't go as planned, and that can be just as enjoyable to watch, as we'll see in the hilarious slapstick adventures of The Green Bird and Hors Piste.
4.30pm - 5.30pm: Shorts - Good for a Laugh for ages 4+
Expect a whole lot of silliness in this family-friendly programme of shorts that’ll bring a smile to your face. Featuring the beautifully bizarre animated short Hop Frog by Russian animator Leonid Shmelkov, with remarkable rhythm, plasticity, and slightly mad and wonderful hopping creatures. In the Korean short Johnny Express we follow a courier who is delivering the tiniest of parcels to the tiniest of planets. Unfortunately he can’t see either the parcel or the planet. And in Marcel the Shell with Shoes on, we find out the difficulties faced when you’re a shell living in a human’s house. Plenty of fun to be had with films from all over the globe.
