'Children in Movement ' Photography Workshop FREE
An opportunity to train as a photographer on a major heritage project that will unearth some of the fascinating but hidden stories of migration that lie behind Birmingham's rich, multi-cultural community.
Leading photography training providers, Some Cities, will show you how to take portraits of people who have migrated to Birmingham as children/young people over the last 80 years from all over the world, photographs that will help to tell their stories, develop understanding and create dialogue between communities. You will collaborate with other young people working as interviewers, and be supported throughout by our friendly project team. At the end of the project you will have your work publicly exhibited, published in print and archived in the Library of Birmingham!
This is a full-day training course: Tue 30 May 10am-4pm We will be using DSLR cameras. If you have your own, please bring it along!
