New Horizons

Animation based on a story by Stanislaw Lem, with music by Krzysztof Penderecki. The story takes place in a technologically advanced, but at the same time feudal world. A Ruthless robot Duenna, pretending to be a woman, sets off on a mission to find and kill a nonconformist scientist hiding in a kingdom. The film is dark love story and a horror at the same time (with an interesting reference to Frankenstein), in which the machine relentlessly hunts a man.

In English translation 'Cyberiada' was entitled 'Mortal Engines', with the word' mortal' having an ambiguous meaning, due to a play on words: 'mortal' which can be understood as 'fatal' or 'subject to death' as well as 'coping with death'
