Classical Dance by Anaya Bolar

This is a solo performance in classical Bharatanatyam by Anaya Bolar, her first presentation in the UK following her debut performance (Arangetram) in Bangalore, India on the 15th August 2012.

Anaya, aged 15, has been training in Bharatanatyam since the age of 5 under her mother’s guidance, Chitraleka Bolar, herself a highly acclaimed Bharatanatyam exponent, teacher and choreographer, now working and teaching in the UK. Last summer, Anaya became the youngest dancer to participate in a choreographic residency programme, ‘Dance Intense 2011’ in Toronto, Canada. Anaya achieved a distinction in her grade 6 last year and she aims to complete her ISTD vocational Intermediate grade this year.
