Summer Festival Opera 2012

An entertaining and fascinating operetta based on the North American folk legend of Paul Bunyan, the giant lumberjack! Standing as tall as the Empire State Building, this behemoth of a man chopped his way across a newly founded America and into the hearts of its citizens. Paul Bunyan entertains adults and children alike, combining Britten’s beautiful music, which features folksongs, hymns and blues, with a libretto by W. H. Auden.
