Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

The “astounding” (The Times) Daniil Trifonov is amongst the world’s most sought after pianists – and Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra are one of the most inspiring conductor-orchestra partnerships on the current scene. This all-Russian programme shows them doing what they do best, from Petrenko and the RLPO’s high-voltage way with Prokofiev and Stravinsky to Trifonov’s stunning take on Rachmaninov’s glittering, jazz-infused Fourth Piano Concerto.

6:15pm: Pre-concert conversation with Vasily Petrenko. This conversation will be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.
