Talk led by Dr Leah Fitzsimmons from the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Science, University of Birmingham and Kartar Uppal a long time supporter of this charity.

Leah is a virologist trying to work out how virus infected cells cheat death and how blocking these interactions might be used to kill cancer cells and Kartar will be looking at how the notion of community can help fight this disease.

The talk will be held at 7pm on Thursday 14th September 2017 at Streetly Community Centre, Foley Road East, Streetly, B74 3HR. Voluntary entrance fee of £3 per person. All proceeds will be split between Cancer Research UK and The Streetly Association (Charity Number:1089675).
