Life Drawing Class

Drawing and Painting the Live Model for a Day Join me for a wonderful opportunity to work directly with an experienced male life model for 5 hours of sketching and painting in various mediums.

There is something exhilarating and deeply satisfying about studying the human body in all its graceful dynamism, especially with both drawing media and paint.

The session will begin with a variety of shorter poses in pencil, charcoal, and pastel. These quicker sketches help with loosening up and getting students familiar with working from life, whilst also enjoying the process of observing the basic pose without thinking about detail.

There will be an hours break for lunch in the middle of the day where drinks and treats will be provided.

After lunch the poses will be extended so students can experiment with using acrylic and oil paint to depict the model in a bit more detail.

Finally, there will be an hour long pose for a final image, which can be rendered using any medium of the students choice.

The maximum number of spaces available will be 10, so there will be plenty of one-to-one feedback and tuition for students.

These sessions are suitable for beginners, and for those who want to continue to improve their life drawing skills.

It is the perfect day to experiment with both drawing and painting mediums in a fun, friendly environment.
