Volunteer Open Day SIAS FREE
SIAS is a partnership of organisations that work closely together to offer easy access to appropriate support and treatment for individuals whose drug, alcohol or gambling use has become problematic. We also offer support to their families.
We have many different projects and roles you can get involved in as a volunteer, and we aim to fit the person’s experience, knowledge and skills to the different types of volunteer roles we have.
Types of activities volunteers do:
supporting the delivery of groups, offering telephone support to service users, supporting service users to attend their appointments, welcoming service users, helping to run our drop in service where volunteers play games with service users and chat supporting the delivery of activities such as walking group, gardening, art helping to run events to promote the service and raise awareness, helping to run events and days out for service users like a Christmas meal, recovery walk and trips bowling. fundraising activities such as car washing, and asking local companies to donate to us and many more! “I have volunteered for other organisations before SIAS, but have never been appreciated and valued as much. SIAS is an amazing organisation to work for"
