Solihull Symphony Orchestra
Solihull Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Concert will feature the outstanding young Bromsgrove violist Charlotte Moseley performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. Charlotte graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2015, and was awarded a Masters’ degree with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in 2017. She has led many orchestras including the CBSO Youth Orchestra, the Orchestra of St John in Bromsgrove, and the Sinfonia of Birmingham. She has performed concertos with orchestras across the country as well as in the West Midlands.
The concert, which will also feature Rachmaninoff’s ever popular Symphony No 2 will be the first for our new leader, Cristinel Băcanu. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Cristinel has lived in Birmingham for eight years, performing with local orchestras and his ensemble, the Băcanu Quartet, as well as teaching the violin.
