Bournville 1919 - 1939 Cancelled

Join Dr Michael Harrison for a detailed and fascinating talk on George Cadbury’s ‘model village’ between the wars. Following George Cadbury's death in 1922 this talk will look at how Bournville developed and changed. Dr Harrison was formerly the Deputy Head of the School of Theoretical and Historical Studies in Art and Design at Birmingham City University and author of Bournville: Model Village to Garden Suburb, which was published in 1999.

This is the second talk Dr Harrison has given at Selly Manor Museum and compliments the talk given in 2019 which covered Bournville 1894 - 1914. Hearing the first talk however is not essential and Dr Harrison will place this historical period into its earlier context.
