Formed in 2012, Danish 6-piece The KutiMangoes took West African music and fused it with their own backgrounds - influenced by the music of Fela Kuti, Charles Mingus and Ornette Coleman and Afrobeat, electric jazz, soul and blues - mixing cultures to create a new sound. Their debut album Afro-Fire (2014) won two Danish Music Awards and took the band to Europe, Asia, Africa & the Middle East. Their follow-up 'Made in Africa' was recorded in Burkina Faso and Mali and released in late 2016.
