Improvised Comedy Workshop


Have you always wanted to be funny on stage? Do you want more confidence with public speaking?

Our 8 week improvised comedy courses are open to everyone who wants to learn them.

This workshop will be weekly every Tueday from 7-9.

£100 for 8 weeks of workshops with a showcase at the end on Tuesday 14th November in front of a real audience (9 weeks total).

Your groups workshops will cover: Introductions - YES AND (19th Sept), ACTIVE LISTENING FOR COMEDY (26TH September), RESPONDING FOR COMEDY (3rd October), GROUNDING FOR COMEDY (10TH Oct), OBJECT WORK AND MIME (17th Oct), PLAYING CHARCTER FOR COMEDY (24 Oct), USING EMOTION (31st Oct), YOU CANNOT, NOT COMMUNICATE (7th Nov), SHOWCASE (14th Nov)

You will be taught in our resident address above the Patrick Kavanagh Pub in Moseley between 7-9pm every Tuesday. You will be taught by Ben Hall, director Fat Penguin Improv.

You will be given simple handouts to highlight the technical rules and tricks from our syllabus, as workshops are very practical. Your group has been limited to 16 people to ensure that you get plenty of support and feedback with your development. Performing in your showcase is not compulsory to pass, however in order to pass we advise that you attend at least 6 of the sessions.
