Flying Scotsman and the Golden Age of Steam


An evening of glorious film of Britain’s steam revival and the amazing stories from some of the women who made it happen.

The award winning television programme maker, David Parker, spent five years filming some of the men and women who brought back to life a few of our country’s most picturesque branch lines and restored the steam engines that still run on them.

The evening will be a glorious celebration of their achievements. We’ll hear incredible stories of their efforts and see fabulous and rare film of steam engines, including Flying Scotsman, they brought lovingly back to life.
