Birmingham Conservatoire Percussion Ensemble Maraca2 explores the pulsating minimalist rhythms of Downtown New York from the bustling environment of Moor Street Station. Brand new pieces by Conservatoire composers will be combined with classics of the repertoire, including an arrangement of Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint for marimba ensemble.
