Same Same... But Different

Come and enjoy this playful and colourful new family show that looks at our curiosities and fears, exploring times in life when we feel different to everyone else and times when we feel a sense of belonging.

Inspired by the well-known Anglo-Asian phrase "Same, same...but different" meaning "Yes, something kind of similar, but not the exact same thing” the show mixes Indian Kathak dance with contemporary dance, live music and physical storytelling.

Three dancer-musicians conjure up a magical atmosphere to celebrate individuality, diversity and the bonds which connect us all.

Same Same...But Different was created in collaboration with primary schools across Birmingham and London and incorporates children's creative ideas and lived experiences both of belonging and of being different.
