SHOUT: Life of Gluck
This talk looks at the life and art of Gluck. She was born Hannah Gluckstein in 1895 into a wealthy Jewish family and she refused to be defined by her class religion or gender. She cropped her hair, dressed as a man smoked a pipe, loved women and defied anyone who dared call her anything but GLUCK. She felt it was the painting that mattered and not her sex. She painted flowers portraits and landscapes and only a few of her paintings hang in galleries majority are in private collections.
