The Hero Light with Dominic Kelly

Ulster and Connaught: two sides of Ireland. Here, live two best friends: the fastest and most feared young warriors in Ireland but Ulster and Connaught really don’t like each other. And huge forces are working to bring the two friends’ worlds crashing intot each other. The Hero Light retells the extraordinary stories of the Ulster Cycle – the ‘Irish Iliad’ - an epic of interweaving stories centered on legendary hero, Cú Chulainn, The Hound. Storyteller, Dominic Kelly brings them to life, balancing irreverent humour and beautiful imagery with a powerful rendition of a deeply affecting tale.

Dominic Kelly is a performance storyteller with an international reputation for dynamic, powerful and entertaining work. He has performed at venues that include The Barbican, National Theatre, Soho Theatre, Teater Pero, The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, The British Museum and festivals around the world from India to the Arctic Circle. Dominic also directs storytelling performances for Rikscenen, Norway's national folk arts centre, teaches storytelling at Stockholm's Royal College of Music and is an associate member of Fabula Storytelling company in Stockholm.
