Dealing with Painful Feelings


We like pleasant feelings and dislike unpleasant feelings. We can spend much of our lives craving things that we think will make us feel good and rejecting things we think make us feel bad. Usually our wish to escape unpleasant feelings is so strong that we don’t find time to understand where they actually come from. On this course, we will learn the nature and cause of unpleasant feelings. By understanding the actual nature of our feelings, we realise that we do not have to be afraid of them or controlled by them and that gives us tremendous freedom.
