Pond

Pond is an Australian outfit led by two core members of Tame Impala, and featuring members from Mink Mussel Creek, The Growl and The Silents. The idea of Pond was to be able to get anyone they wanted to play whatever, whenever, in a completely ego free kind of trip all under the big obligation-less blanket of “Pond”. This resulted in the album ‘Corridors of Blissterday’ being recorded live with an 8-piece band in 5 days sometime in 2009. Their latest album, ‘Beard, Wives, Denim’, was recorded in a farm down south of Perth, Western Australia. The fine folks at Modular Records thought it was such a great record they decided to release it worldwide and with a great amount of fuss in March 2012.
