Dragions Den Workshop FREE
This is a fantastic opportunity for Y6 upwards to work in pairs or small groups to research some new innovate products, price and market their products before pitching their ideas to the Dragons. All participants will receive feedback on their independent and collaborative contributions, research skills and presentations.
Relevant National Literacy Strategy Objectives: • Use exploratory, hypothetical and speculative talk as a tool for clarifying ideas • Tailor the structure, vocabulary and delivery of a talk or presentation so that it is helpfully sequenced and supported by gesture or other visual aid as appropriate • Adopt a range of roles in discussion, including acting as a spokesperson, and contribute in different ways such as promoting, opposing, exploring and questioning • Identify and report the main points emerging from discussion
Relevant Curriculum for Excellence Objectives: • I can persuade, argue, explore issues or express an opinion using relevant supporting detail and/or evidence • I can convey information, describe events, explain processes or combine ideas in different ways. • I can recognise how the features of spoken language can help in communication and I can use what I learn. I can recognise different features of my own and others’ spoken language.
This will be a FREE 1-hour session starting at 3.45pm and finishing at 4.45pm All children attending will receive a goodie bag to take away with them.
