From 2-7pm on Saturday 21st January, the Bramall Music Building will be host to a variety of fascinating, relaxed yet inspiring harp concerts. Jazz harp by Hugh Webb at 2pm, Hugh Webb and Lucy Wakeford perform and talk about contemporary harp music from Britain and Italy from 3.45pm-5pm and from 5.45pm-6.45pm Karen Marshalsay from Scotland performs on her clarsach, original arrangements and compositions with a unique and authentic traditional flair, mixed with modern techniques. This concert closes with a ten minute premiere of The Wood and the Water by Eleanor Turner, for electro harp, sound spatialisation and gesture controlled armband. An eclectic afternoon and all for the Spectators Day Pass price of £15, or £20 if you would like to stay for the main event, the evening concert at 7pm with Sylvain Blassel and Tara Minton.
