An exclusive opportunity to watch a dance and live music open rehearsal and speak to the artists about the development of their new work: Sahasa (The Brave).

Sahasa is a brave encounter with the self and the other in an evolving yet conflicted modern world of value and equal rights. This dance and live music work is the beginning of a unique international collaboration of three female artists from Birmingham and Bangladesh through a three year project Transforming Narratives.

Sahasa weaves a web of curiosity and debate through bold South Asian inspired dance and soulful Baul music in response to research conducted with women in Birmingham and Dhaka around personal aspirations and challenges within a framework of societal, political and cultural demands.

There will be a chance to speak with the artists directly about the research, concept and creation as part of the rehearsal and sharing. The company welcomes your response to support the creative team along the journey of developing the work further.
