In the footsteps of Sir Edward Burne-Jones
Included on the walk are the Museum and Art Gallery, St Philip’s Square, the Bullring & St Martins and Grand Central along with plenty of surprises. We hear some of the exploits of Birmingham’s most famous painter who, during his colourful life, saw Birmingham put huge efforts in to improving itself.
Born in the centre of Birmingham in 1833, Burne-Jones became a huge force in Victorian art. Our walk takes us to some of the city’s most historic buildings. We gain an understanding of the city’s origins, the latest 21st century developments are explained and we hear what is around the corner in this city of continuous change.
Tours start: 13.30 am from the Museum and Art Gallery main entrance steps in Chamberlain Square and end back in the museum at around 15.15. An eTicket is sent to you after booking.
We support Sifa Fireside who work on acute and longer term homeless issues in Birmingham with at least 10% of all sales going to their work.
