Death Cafe @ Birmingham Hippodrome FREE
Join us for lively discussion over tea and cake at a Death Cafe at Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre. Taking place in the foyer next to the theatre’s cafe, the event is free to attend with tea, coffee and cakes available from the cafe. Places don’t need to be booked, simply drop in at 4pm and stay for as long as you would like up to 5.30pm.
An international movement, Death Cafes encourage open and honest conversations around any subjects connected to death and dying. Hosted by a facilitator, the conversations can go in whichever direction the group chooses.
The event precedes the free performance of Orpheus at the Hippodrome and is part of of A Matter of Life and Death Festival our annual festival promoting healthy and productive conversation about death and dying.
In 2019 between the 10th – 19th May we are bringing a range of events across Birmingham and further afield, events will include film screenings, art competition and workshops, open days and lots of other great events. www.brumyodo.org.uk
