The Mario Lanza Opera Prize

Prepare to be enthralled by the skill and virtuosity our students display as they compete to win this esteemed prize.

Generously sponsored by the Mario Lanza Society, our undergraduate and postgraduate singers rise to the challenge of presenting two contrasting operatic arias.

Tonight's prize is adjudicated by Sir Thomas Allen, star of the great opera houses of the world. He particularly acclaimed for the great Mozart roles of Count Almaviva, Don Alfonso, Papageno, Guglielmo and Don Giovanni.
