StoryVibes: Storytelling, Spoken Word & Music

In the whole world, there is only one manuscript that unfolds to tell a forgotten Cornish Epic, the Roman de Silence. This ancient text was discovered in Wollaton Manor, Nottinghamshire, in a box marked "Old Papers - No Value" (buried under a few letters from King Henry VIII.) For seven hundred years, this legend had been patiently waiting but it was 1911. Suffrage protests were at their explosive height and this tale suggested that England depended on a quest for female empowerment and gender equality. So the legend was silenced once more but this story was made to be told and now is the time to tell it.

Rachel Rose Reid has split the epic of Silence into a trilogy. Join her journey to restore and revive this ancient tale so it may take its rightful place amongst the famed and fabulous epics from the past.

Rachel Rose Reid has been described by The Times as having "...“immense skill and breathless conviction; There’s no faulting Reid’s command of her craft.”
