Splendours from the Doge's Chapel

Giovanni Gabrieli was the greatest composer of the Venetian high Renaissance. The singers, cornettists and trombonists he had at his disposal were among the best to be found anywhere, and their virtuosity is clearly reflected in the music he composed for them. Ex Cathedra are delighted to welcome back His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts to help them mark the 400th anniversary of Gabrieli’s death with a programme of stunning music from St Mark’s, Venice.
