LAYLA & THE GOOD LADS
At one time Layla’s songs had never ventured beyond their beautiful bedsit. Luckily for us they were tempted outside by the friendly call of The Good Lads and are now off on their adventures. Travelling through the dirty, dusty groove of the city; rolling and rocking along the meander of the river, they reach the violence of the ocean waves and soar up to the shimmering moonlit sky.
Formally uber-popular local Wolverhampton band The Siege; the now equally anarchic named Velvet Riot treat their fans to a wonderful slice of indie-rock that won’t disappoint.
Auriyga came together last January and have already started making a break into the gigging world! They are made up of six students from the Birmingham Conservatoire who, with a passion for folk music, decided to get together with the prospect of creating something great!
Five out of six members of the group played together as part of Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble which was the inspiration for them to start their own group. With a rather extensive instrumental line up, the sound this band can create is very exciting!
Nix Dadry was born and raised in Coventry. Cut his teeth in London. And has played from New York to Istanbul.
Afraid of the spotlight Tammy Davis has hidden her love for writing and composing songs since she was in her early teens. Only ever on stage in the background at school Tammy has finally decided 2012 is the year to begin to gig and share her work.
Natali is a 19 year old musician from Wolverhampton. She puts everything into her live shows, singing her own compositions accompanied by piano or guitar.
Every Sunday, Birmingham Promoters present an evening of eclectic music.
