With an ageing population and sedentary lifestyles, active living and lifelong participation in sport has never been more important.

Football is the national game and is endlessly adaptable, but the number of men playing falls off dramatically from the early 30s.

With the baby boom generation in middle age, can football be made accessible for the over 50s and contribute to healthier lifestyles?
