John Hollenbeck & the Claudia Quintet

John Hollenbeck is a great drummer and composer whose Claudia Quintet is an important vehicle for his compositional work. It is one of the most innovative groups on the New York scene, and has a very interesting line-up with sax, vibes, accordion, double bass and drums. For the second set the Quintet will become an Octet with the addition of three key Birmingham musicians, Percy Pursglove (trumpet) and Steve Tromans (piano). The concert features as part of the Harmonic jazz weekend.
