Poetry in the West Midlands is flourishing. Four poets will share the stage to discuss their influences and starting points. The audience will be played in with pieces of music selected by each poet who will read from their latest work, talk about the process of creating poems, finding an audience and their strangest inspirations.

Roz Goddard was Birmingham Poet Laureate 2003/4 and has worked extensively in schools, universities, libraries, prisons and even on an allotment. Her collection, How To Dismantle A Hotel Room was published in 2006.

Meredith Andrea’s poetry appears regularly in magazines and her chapbook collection Grasshopper Inscriptions was published in 2006.

Myra Connell has published short stories with Tindal Street Press. Her first collection of poems, A Still Dark Kind of Work, was published in May 2008.

Jane Seabourne is a member of ImageTextImage, a group of poets and visual artists who collaborate. Her poetry has been published in journals such as Borderlines, Cannon’s Mouth and Mslexia.
