Old ions are a four piece band all hailing from the south of Birmingham. With influences as diverse as The Coral through to Godspeed you black emperor!, this is a band that truly shatter any pre-conceived ideas as to what an inner city Birmingham band should sound like. Taking in reference points such as The La's and Syd Barrett, Old Ions arrive at a sound that is unlike any band currently around. A must see live act that combine rock n roll with the cerebral lyrical content of the Flaming Lips all wrapped into an accessible form.
