Britain's premier string ensemble and the exquiste voice of Sarah Leonard combine in a contemporary programme that celebrates the 60th birthday of Nigel Osborne with a performance of Esquisses 1 and 2.

Piers Hellawall Degrees of Seperation for Strings Student Composition Benjamin Britten 'Les Illuminations' Joe Cutler New work for Soprano and 11 Solo Strings(commissioned by The Goldberg Ensemble, world premier tour,third performance) Nigel Osborne Esquisses 1 and 2

The concert also feataures music by Piers Hellawell,Geoffrey Burgon and a new commission from Joe Cutler.Also included will be a piece by a Conservatoire Composer following an afternoon workshop exploring new student works.
