Phil Thomson’s Arts Lab


We have become wonderfully diverse and unconventional in the eighteen months since we opened The Lab - in exactly the way it was supposed to happen - through poetry, music, performance art and experimental film.

Here, two of the most engaging acts on the circuit will prove the point - Vince Gould and The Psychotic Male Voice Choir. Their voice will be given added gravitas by the spoken word of artist and poet Rachel Henaghan. Vince Gould is a poet, actor and musical satirist with several Edinburgh Festivals under his belt and a habit of weaving historical precedents into the uncomfortable truths of the world we inhabit. Pure art meets agitprop.
